Overview
Buffalo Reel Trail provides offline core gameplay without user accounts, advertising, in-app purchases, or cross-app advertising tracking. The app makes startup network requests and uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push services. It does not integrate Google Analytics or upload game progress. Firebase service diagnostics and technical information are described below. This policy also covers the accompanying website and startup configuration service operated by Dominic Ortiz.
Data stored on your device
The app stores station completion, best-attempt records, the current run, tutorial history, badge selections, and music, sound, haptic, and assistance preferences locally. These records support your progress and personal settings. They are not uploaded to this backend.
The app does not provide cloud synchronization. Your operating system's backup and restore services may include local app data, depending on your settings.
Startup configuration service
At launch, the app checks connectivity, including an HTTPS request to the service, and requests configuration using its app version. The service accepts the app version and returns the configuration for that version. When an app version connects to this service, the request also involves network information such as an IP address and request metadata. The service does not require an account, game progress, or an advertising identifier, and does not store requests in an application database.
Firebase push services
The app initializes Google Firebase Cloud Messaging at launch and registers with Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Firebase processes APNs tokens and app installation identifiers to register this installation and route push messages. The app caches its FCM registration token and pending notification-open information locally. Game progress, badges, and sound preferences are not sent to Firebase.
Firebase and its supporting libraries also process technical information, such as device and operating-system information, app and SDK versions, and service diagnostic data, to operate the service, maintain reliability, and understand SDK usage. We do not use this information for cross-app advertising tracking. See Firebase privacy information and Firebase Apple-platform data disclosures.
Visible notifications follow your iOS notification authorization settings. Registration and service-related processing can occur before notification permission is granted; turning off notification alerts does not by itself stop Firebase registration or its technical data processing.
Website hosting and operational logs
The website and API are hosted on Cloudflare. Requests are processed by Cloudflare to deliver the service. Hosting security and observability features may process IP addresses, request metadata, and operational logs according to the hosting configuration. The absence of an application database does not mean that no network information is processed.
This website does not add analytics scripts or set application cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for information about the hosting provider.
Third-party protection and responsibility
We require any service provider with whom we share user data to provide the same or an equal level of protection as described in this policy and required by the Apple App Review Guidelines. This includes limiting processing to the disclosed purposes, protecting data against unauthorized access, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting applicable retention and deletion obligations. We remain responsible for our choice and configuration of these services; links to their policies do not replace our responsibilities to you.
Google Firebase and Cloudflare publish data-processing and security terms describing their obligations, including security measures and processing restrictions. See the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms and Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum. The applicable terms depend on the service and customer agreement. Service-provider processing may take place outside your country under the safeguards described in those terms.
Support communications
If you contact dominico@pacificveterinary.pics, the operator receives the information you choose to share, such as your email address and issue description. Share only what is needed to investigate your request, and remove unrelated personal information from screenshots. Support information is used to respond to your request.
Managing local data
Clear Progress removes completion records, the current run, tutorial history, and local progress copies, while keeping preferences and badge choices. Restore Default Badge resets badge choices. Deleting the app removes its local data; operating-system backups are managed through the relevant system service.
Retention and privacy requests
Local game records remain on your device until you clear them or remove the app, subject to operating-system backups. Clear Progress only clears game progress; it does not delete Firebase service records or reset the push token. Firebase service data and Cloudflare operational records follow the relevant provider's retention practices. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. Contact dominico@pacificveterinary.pics with questions or requests concerning personal information processed by the operator; requests involving service-provider records are handled within the controls those providers make available.
To request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent, email dominico@pacificveterinary.pics with the subject "Privacy request" and describe the request. We may ask for the minimum information needed to verify and locate the relevant records. We will explain any records we cannot identify or delete and any applicable retention requirement. Do not send passwords or unrelated sensitive information.
The current app has no separate in-app switch to stop Firebase registration or technical data processing. An email request does not itself disable automatic registration in an installation that remains active. Turning off iOS notification alerts only controls alerts. Uninstalling stops this installation from initiating further requests, but does not automatically delete records already held by service providers or operating-system backups.
Updates and contact
This page will be updated when the service's data practices change. For privacy questions, contact dominico@pacificveterinary.pics. The operator is Dominic Ortiz.
